We will always try to keep your data safe and secure

You can decide at any time that you don’t want to hear from us again. We will provide an unsubscribe link in all items of marketing communication we send.

We support any request to have personal data corrected or completed, transferred to another organisation, prohibited for certain uses, or removed completely. We will complete this all in the stipulated one month time requirement. Simply email chachipowerproject@gmail.com to arrange this.

We will store your data until you ask us to remove it from our database or when The Chachi Power Project no longer operates, whichever is sooner. Google Analytics has been set up to automatically delete user data after 50 months from when it was collected.

Any data held by The Chachi Power Project has either been explicitly consented to our use, by the owner of that data or, if a contract or agreement has been entered into i.e an event ticket has been purchased then we will use the data provided to fulfil that contract or agreement.

We also use Google Analytics to understand more about who visits The Chachi Power Project website so we can better understand who our clients are. You consent to this data being collected is activated when you 'Accept' the Cookies Controller. Learn more about Cookies here.

What data do we store?

If you sign up to The Chachi Power Project Newsletter via the website then the Wix website platform has been set up to ask you for your first name, last name and your email address. We will also store your business name if submitted via email communication at a later date. We will always ask for your consent to hold any and all of this data.

In addition to the basic data we actively hold, supplementary data may be collected by the various platform's used by The Chachi Power Project to interact with the public. We use this to try to understand what our users find most interesting on the website, how long our users stay on each page of the site, how our users find the site e.g. via social media, via a search engine or using the URL directly.
WHY WE USE IT THIS WAY: The Chachi Power Project wants to make sure we are creating relevant and helpful and engaging content which is useful to our followers. We also want to understand more about the events our users want to attend so we can offer more of the same. We also want to understand how people find the website so we know which social media to invest our time into cultivating.

MAILCHIMP: The Chachi Power Project uses MailChimp to send out its newsletters. MailChimp interacts with your data in a number of ways: collection (e.g., via sign-up forms), storage of your personal data (e.g., within The Chachi Power Project's MailChimp account in order to allow us to create and use distribution lists, send marketing email campaigns, and place online advertisements), and the transfer of personal data to certain of MailChimp’s sub-processors (who, as described in MailChimp's Data Processing Agreement, perform some critical services, such as helping MailChimp prevent abuse and providing support to their customers). MailChimp is certified to the EU-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, so it can transfer The Chachi Power Project's subscribers’ personal data outside of the EU data servers to MailChimp data servers in the U.S. if it requires, in a safe and secure method. Please be aware that The Chachi Power Project has completed a data processing agreement with MailChimp. -
GOOGLE: Wix transfers your data to a Chachi Power Project Gmail Account. This site also uses Google Analytics to track helpful information about the visitors to this site. Google Analytics helps website owners measure how users interact with website content. As a user navigates between web pages, Google Analytics records information about the page a user has seen, for example the URL of the page. The Google Analytics JavaScript libraries use HTTP Cookies to "remember" what a user has done on previous pages / interactions with the website. MEETUP: If you have signed up to be part of The Chachi Power Project's Body Positive Group on Meetup then The Chachi Power Project does not have direct access to your name or email address but can contact you at times via the Meetup platform. IZETTLE: If you have purchased merchandise via credit card from The Chachi Power Project at an event or fair then The Chachi Power Project does not have direct access to your credit card details as these are kept securely on iZettle's platform. Please refer to iZettle's Privacy Policy here.

EVENTBRITE: If you choose to attend a Chachi Power Project event and use the event booking site Eventbrite to complete this transaction then Eventbrite will share your first name, last name, email address and last 4 digits of your credit card number with The Chachi Power Project. We may contact you via the Eventbrite platform to let you know relevant information about the event you have booked a ticket for. Please refer to Eventbrite's Privacy Policy here. Booking an event via Eventbrite does not mean you will be contacted about future Chachi Power Project events unless you sign up separately to The Chachi Power Project Newsletter. SURVEYMONKEY: We may send you out a survey to find out more details in relation to an event you have asked to attend or competition you have entered. We will use SurveyMonkey to collect this information and by completing the survey you accept to submit the information to The Chachi Power Project. Please read SurveyMonkey's Privacy Policy here.

SOCIAL MEDIA: If you choose to follow The Chachi Power Project via Facebook, Instagram or Twitter then The Chachi Power Project will not have direct access to your contact details. We reserve the right to contact you via those platforms to respond to any queries you may have asked, but you are under no obligation to reply or continue to follow, if you so wish.

The Chachi Power Project will not transfer your data outside of the United Kingdom apart from when storing on MailChimp's US data servers.
